The Barossa Valley is well known for its vineyards and wineries. A map of the region lists ninety-two vineyards the public can visit during the day plus another twenty-one that can be visited by appointment. Vineyards that we visited included:
Barossa Valley Estate
As well as for the wine produced on the estate it is known for the magnificent gardens created on the property by landscape architect, Paul Bangay.Chateau Tanunda
This is another winery with landscaped gardens. Chateau Tanunda was established in 1890.
Hentley Farm
We called into this venue at lunchtime one day but only formal meals were available.
