On 7 June we set off for our first game at Hursley in Hampshire against the Hampshire Over 60s team. The game was at the IBM Hursley Cricket Club Ground.
It was a picturesque ground with a well established clubhouse.
The house in the distance in the first photo is Hursley House built between 1721 and 1724. Since 1958 it has been the property of IBM.

Hampshire batted first on a difficult pitch and were all out for 84 in the 41st over. Rex Bennett took four wickets for 16 runs off his nine overs while Brian Scott took two wickets for only eight runs off his nine overs. Robin was not used as a bowler but opened the batting when the Australian innings began.
Batting continued to be difficult but Australia scored the winning runs in the 34th over. Robin top scored with 33 runs.
A good team effort first and a good start for the tour.
