Dorridge - County Game 6

Monday 13 August and we were off to Dorridge for a match against Gloucestershire / Warwickshire.
We soon noticed the row of interested spectators on the clubhouse roof.
As usual the players inspected the pitch as soon as they arrived at the ground.
The scorers made ready for the game.
In this match the two Ian Gibsons opened the batting.
Australia batted first and made 5 for 226 in their 45 overs. Roger Edmunds 45, John Terrell 40 and Ian Petherick 38 were the top scorers for Australia. In reply Gloucestershire / Warwickshire made 7 for 154. The bowlers shared the wickets - Bruce Pooley and Alan Reid each took two wickets while Robin, Roger Edmunds and Colin Cooke each had one.
It was another good game for Australia.
I went for a walk exploring the local area.
I walked down Conker Lane.
Conker Lane
I met a young boy and his grandparents who had come to the level crossing to watch the trains.
Before returning to the cricket ground I had a quick look around Dorridge.
Later some of us were taken to view the garden of a property overlooking the ground.
