Balloon trip

Very early one morning in 2005 a bus collected us from the resort to take us to the Atherton Tablelands to locate the take off zone for morning's balloon flight.

Before sunrise the balloons took off and floated over the farmland below.

It was a wonderful, peaceful experience gliding along watching the ground appear through the mist as the sun rose.

Below us the support vehicles followed the progress of the balloons to collect us when the balloons landed.

The bus then took us back to Port Douglas where we had breakfast and talked about the morning's experience.
