We spent ten days in Albury Wodonga where the temperatures on most days peaked between mid 30s and low 40s. It was therefore a surprise on the Tuesday morning to wake to grey skies, rain and a considerable drop in temperature.
We went downstairs to breakfast and then packed our belongings in the car for the trip home. The original plan had been to wander down to Chocolate Labrador for a final hot chocolate and coffee however once the rain became heavier and it started to hail we decided to just get in the car and go home.
On the way home we stopped at Yarck, largely because this community had been mentioned on a number of occasions by fellow Victorians and also because the name, Yarck, is definitely different. The 2016 census recorded approximately 168 people living in Yarck and surrounding area. We had lunch at Bucks Country Bakehouse.
This First World War memorial was erected to the memory of the fallen from Yarck and district.
We then continued our journey home after busy and interesting holiday in Albury Wodonga.
