Lake District

Wednesday 3 August
It was a day for exploring. Drove through Ambleside and stopped at White Moss Walk and went for a walk to Grasmere where Wordsworth once lived at Dove Cottage - now a museum.
We then drove to Keswick where we visited the Castlerigg Stone Circle - 4,500 years old.
This was followed by a drive off the beaten track and stopped near a waterfall to start climbing the fell, Ard Crags. I went halfway and then waited while Robin went further and took some photos.
On the other side of the road I then climbed to the first waterfall.
We then drove to Bowness, via Lake Buttermere, where we went for a walk before returning to the hotel.
