Sailed in the morning and entered the Rhine. After an early lunch we visited Rudesheim. The main attraction was Siegfried's Musical Cabinet - an array of mechanical musical instruments.
We then had time to wander about the small town - very tourist oriented - before returning to the ship.
In the afternoon we sailed through the Rhine Gorge and saw many castles on both sides of the river. When the castles were built money was extracted from travellers who wished to pass. It was raining when we started but fortunately cleared though it was cold.
And also the Lorelei Rock
After dinner Nick took us on a tour of Andernach - most of the town wall still exists.
